Call or email me to schedule a 15-minute consultation to discuss your therapeutic needs. What led you to reach out? What life events are going on? What would you like to achieve by engaging in therapy?

2

Decision.

Once you're ready to start your first session with me, I’ll send you the intake paperwork through Therapy Notes so you understand the layout of the therapy process.

3

Consistency.

Based on your needs, we’ll find a solid time to ensure you are getting your therapeutic needs met - whether that’s a few sessions or more - we’ll continue to discuss the best plan for you.

FAQs

What can I expect during the first session?

Congratulations on taking a huge step to focus on yourself. I’m proud of you! The first session will consist of reviewing the paperwork I sent you after our consultation, such as expectations, confidentiality, rates for therapy, contact information, etc. I want to review the information to ensure I can be fully transparent with details and answer any questions you may have. Afterward, we will go through an intake so I can understand you better and explore in which direction we will go for therapy.

What if I have a hard time opening up in therapy?

I recognize that everyone may not fully divulge their life story - but I want to make it as easy as possible. Based on the information from our first session, I can prepare our discussion topics and give you a list of points/ interventions you may wish to address. I’ve had the experience of not knowing what to say in a therapy session, and having some context of each session was helpful.

Do I accept insurance?

I currently accept Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield—Missouri. I will also use a sliding scale based on each client's needs and have a bundle package that will make the cost of sessions manageable. I do accept PayPal, Zelle, and Venmo.

How long do I need to commit to therapy?

There is no set time to engage in therapy. Depending on the topics you want to address, you can meet with me for one session or a hundred sessions. If you have met your goals and think you’re in a good place, we can call that a success. I will never pressure you to stay in therapy longer than you want to.
